In the zodiac there are twelve signs.  Each sign has certain designations.  In the interpretation of the natal chart these designations are used in “chart weighting.”   Each sign in the zodiac is designated as either male, or female.  Also, each sign in the zodiac is designated as being an earth, wind, water, or fire sign.  And finally, each sign in the zodiac is designated as either a cardinal, mutable, or fixed sign.

Those born under a mutable sign are action oriented, communicators, adaptable, friendly, and co-operative.  Mutables are more concerned about people than things, and they are much more likely to talk than to fight.  Actually, if there’s a choice between talking and fully completing a project, the mutable will choose to talk.

Always searching the options, and analyzing the situation for the best possible outcome, a person born under a mutable sign must have the “interest” factor to get things done.  If they lose interest, they will no longer participate, but as long as they do stay interested they will look for any reason or excuse to justify continuing.

Surprisingly, mutable signs can be somewhat selfish, and even ruthless if they are in a situation where they feel the least bit threatened.  They will often devote their entire lives in service to others.

The mutable signs are:

Gemini – With the ability to do two things at once, the mutable Gemini is the “go to” person for finding what you need quickly.

Virgo – Every employer is happy with their Virgo employee, because they revel in the details, and are not at all afraid of hard work.  Perfection is the goal, and they are tireless in their pursuit of perfection-happiness.

Sagittarius – That which pops into the mind of the Sagittarian pops out the mouth of the Sagittarian.  They are great story tellers and philosophers.

Pisces – Dreamers, and so laid back that one often wonders if they are fully of this world.  The mutable Pisces often feels alone in a crowded room.
